Flag Symbolism: Black: Determination, and claiming victory over the enemies who dare try to tarnish the country. White: Hope, purity and perseverance Aqua fresco(?)/blue-green: Signifying the water and it’s importance for Isola Verde: the connection between the country and the outside world, for food, etc. Crown: reference to the country’s history as a kingdom Triquetra: Besides being a nod to the primitive culture on the island, the triquetra represents unity and the everlasting life of the country even through hardships. G-clef/Treble-clef: Symbolism to the most appreciated area of the country’s culture: music. Many old pieces of music and instruments have been preserved and are still played as both tradition, and as entertainment.
